Dr. Robert Schill, Jr, the
Director of UNLV's Energy Materials Interaction Technology Initiative of Nevada
(EMITION) Center will be speaking TODAY, Thursday, Feb 24th at McCormick &
Schmick's. 11:30 Check-in & 12 PM lunch & talk. $30. The EMITION center is using pulsed power -- a
mass of energy directed to a specific location - to help with everything from
reducing air pollution to killing cancer cells.
The talk will highlight
the EMITION's collaborations with local companies e.g., Las Vegas Valley Water
District, Remote Sensing Laboratory, EG&G and national agencies e.g.,
AFOSR, AFRL, DOE, Homeland Security. The
goal of the talk is to encourage more
industry EMITION collaborations!
The EMITION Center is
located at the College of Engineering. The EMITION center is looking for more
industry collaborations to develop more technologies in Nevada.
